Sunnyvale is a location in the Fear Street trilogy. It is the rival town of Shadyside and was established in 1666 after Union was divided. It is considered a safe place as no murders have occurred. It had a neighborhood to the north named North Shadydale.
It appeared in Fear Street Part 1: 1994 and Fear Street Part 3: 1666.
History[]
After being divided, Solomon Goode's pact with Satan would help prosper Sunnyvale into be considered a safe haven, it is the home town of the Goode family among other Sunnyvale families.
The Goode's then operated under their home where they would sell the soul of a Shadysider. Prior to 1994, William "Will" Goode became its mayor where he would run for election during October of 1994.
When Ms. Fraser discovered her daughter, Samantha "Sam" Fraser, was in a romantic relationship with Deena Johnson, she forcibly had her daughter move to Sunnyvale.
When Deena and her friends were being hunted down in the Shadyside Hospital, Ryan entered the hospital and killed Peter Brody due to him having Sam's blood on him.
Once the curse of Shadyside was ended by Deena killing Nicholas "Nick" Goode, the town began experiencing their own troubles after the truth about the Goode family's pact with Satan has been revealed with the former and Sam watching a man in his car be hit by a truck after leaving the Goode's household.
Education[]
Of age, children of Sunnyvale enter the education system with the teenagers attending Sunnyvale High School, home of the Sunnyvale Devils. It is also where games between them and the Shadyside Witches are played. On the 1st of October 1994, Sunnyvale High hosted a vigil ceremony in which both the students from the high school and the Shadyside Witches mourned the loss of Heather Watkins, a student who had been murdered the previous night.
Sunnyvale also has a college near the border with Shadyside named Sunnyvale College
The athletic department of the school allows students to wear hoodies which vary in sizes. After being admitted to hospital, Sam was given an extra large version which she wore before she changed clothes.
