History[]
Ruby was born to Mr. Lane and his wife Mary Lane around 1949. She became a fan of the song "You Always Hurt the Ones You Love" and she began attending Shadyside High School once she was old enough, which then she attended church on Sundays with her mother and joined its choir.
At school, she was known as a good student whose grades were high and who helped her teammates win during high state level debate championships. She was to attend a university.
On February 10th, 1965, she was possessed by Satan and made to kill her boyfriend, Thomas Miller, her friends and herself at a party with a straight razor. During the murders, she sang "You Always Hurt The Ones You Love". When police investigated the crime scene, one report from an official stated the killer had a symbol on her though it was deemed by one witness to be paint but Ruby's own blood by another who insisted the symbol had been carved into Ruby.
After her daughter's suicide, Mary attempted to find out the truth about what made Ruby snap which she continued to do while working at Camp Nightwing as a nurse in July of 1978. On July 19th, she went to kill Thomas "Tommy" Slater upon finding his name on the wall as she did not want him to do what Ruby had done though she failed and was sent away.
After Christine "Ziggy" Berman suffered a minor burn wound courtesy of Sheila and her friends, Christine asked Mary about Ruby though the former admitted she was aware people talked about the incident but that she just wanted to understand why her daughter did what she had done believing that killers murdered for a reason.
When Cindy Berman reunited with her sister in an effort to stop the curse, they made their way to the hanging tree to reunite Sarah Fier's hand with her body though when the Berman sisters died, Ruby was sent away.
On October 2nd, 1994, Ruby was summoned where she was found by Simon Kalivoda who she attempted to kill with her razor blade but was shot and forced to retreat by Deena Johnson.
The next day, Ruby entered the high school to track down Deena, Josh Johnson, Kate Schmidt, Simon and Samantha "Sam" Fraser but was blown up with Ryan Torres and Tommy though the three were resurrected and continued to go after their victims. She was then sent to the Grab & Bag where she stalked the group.
On the final attempt at stopping the curse, Ruby went to kill Deena, Josh, Ziggy and Martin P. Franklin at the Shadyside Mall though once Deena stabbed and killed Sheriff Nicholas "Nick" Goode, Ruby's soul was put to rest.
