History[]

Pre-1978[]

Cindy Berman was born around 1959 to 1960 to two unnamed Shadyside parents, she was born as the older sister of Christine "Ziggy" Berman. At a young age, her father walked out on the family and Cindy went on to believe her life would be better. Sometime prior to turning twelve, she met and befriended Alice and the two became close before an incident occurred around the time the two were twelve where Alice declared Cindy as a snitch.

Later in life, she was accepted as a camp counselor for Camp Nightwing where she began a relationship with Tommy Slater.

2nd October 1994[]

Ziggy mentioned her older sister to Deena and Josh Johnson moments before telling them of how she survived 1978.

12th July 1978-19th July 1978[]

During the first week of her time at the camp, Cindy posed in photos with other counselors as well as a photo with just herself and her younger sister. A week later on the 19th of July 1978, she helped her boyfriend around the camp with chores before going to find Alice after discovering the latter was not with them. Cindy then found Alice engaging in sexual intercourse with her boyfriend, Arnie. Inside the cabin, Alice promised she and Arnie would complete their chores so long as Cindy obtained more drugs for them to which she hesitantly agreed to.

After returning to the mess hall to finish cleaning up, Cindy complained about Alice to Tommy, still angered, Cindy tore the sponge in half before she left to find a new one. Upon her return, she discovered an empty return before Tommy returned, Nurse Lane then entered the room before apologising what she was about to do, Cindy then witnessed Nurse Mary Lane attempt murder before the latter was stopped moments after Tommy suffered a small injury, the two then reported the incident to the police after paramedics and officers arrived on the scene.

Cindy then returned to the medical cabin with Tommy with the intention of proving to him that Nurse Lane's attacks were done under the influence of drugs. Inside, the two were then founded by Alice and Arnie who teased Cindy for holding presumed drugs. Cindy soon came across Nurse Lane's journal which explained the curse, though sceptic, Cindy explained that the map included was Shadyside and Sunnyvale before it was divided, known around 1666 as just Union.

Cindy, alongside the three then ventured down the woods to find the mark of Sarah Fier though before leaving the deck of the cabin, Cindy asked Tommy if he was fine as the latter claimed he was okay before the four journeyed on. After Tommy teased her, Cindy responded she would kill him if he continued. Inside the cave, Cindy entered the main area where she left Tommy who eventually grabbed an axe and killed Arnie, the murder was witnessed by Cindy and Alice who escaped through a gap which collapsed only for the two to discover Tommy had also survived.

Ziggy talks to Nick[]

Hidden away from the other inhabitants of the camp, Nick questioned Ziggy about her relationship with her sister to which Ziggy answered it was complicated and that family issues caused her and Cindy to never fully get along though after learning of the massacre, Ziggy grew concerned for her sister upon discovering she was not in the main cabin, though she vowed to go rescue her, Nick insisted he would do it instead and left Ziggy with the other survivors.

Attempt to stopping the curse and death[]

After reconciling with her younger sister, Cindy attempted to help stop the curse by reuniting the hand of Sarah Fier with its body only to witness Alice's death. Cindy then made her way to the hanging tree with Ziggy only to be killed by Tommy with his axe.

Aftermath[]

Cindy's name was one of six to be placed on a board of deceased Camp Nightwing counsellors as it was almost the 10th year anniversary since the Camp Nightwing incident along with Joan, Gary, Alice, Arnie and Tommy.
